Purple Beans! An old fav from my childhood! Carrots - fairly big too!Tomatoes are still green, with my luck they will ripen and rot while we are camping! We got some turnips already, and more are waiting for us. No Brussel sprouts ... not sure how that one works, so we may or may not get brussel sprouts.

What's up with the purple beans? I've never seen them before. . . What do they taste like? BEANS? :-)
I grew up eating purple beans ... they are just normal to me, but no one else seems to have heard of them. Nothing really spectacular 'bout them, just fun to grow and pretty to look at. They do turn green when cooked, though. bummer!
This bunch does not seem to be as purple as the ones I grew growing up. Wonder why??
