My parents took the girls to their house for two nights this past weekend. First off let me share with those not familiar with Michigan spring - when the weather warms up the snow melts first. THEN the ground thaws ... from the top down. So, this means that there is a lot of water and not much ground area for snow melt to soak up into. Now, to make matters worse, my parents have heavy clay soil that just seems to hold water and create a mucky mess, AND they recently tore up part of the grass to lay some tileing to help drain water away from their house, so any vegitative roots that offered a tad of stability is gone.
Yea, can you get a mental picture of what could happen when two girls and one Poppa go for a walk in the mud? Purposfully exploring how muddy Nanna and Poppa's place can get? Unfortunatly you'll have to insert mental photo, for it seems both Bill and I have lost our memory .. sticks .. to download photographic evidence of three humans COVERED in mud! Bless Poppa for letting them have fun in the mud, and bless Nanna for washing everything and everyone afterward! Surfice it to say - there was mud covering mud!
