We lost another fish; Orangie died this weekend. (Apparently we have too many fish in our tank, since goldfish are "dirty" fish and produce a lot of ammonia) Before we realized just how toxic our tank was, we went out and bought one more fish to replace the two that have recently died.
So welcome Clementine to our fish tank. He is the orange fish.
We now have to change our water at least once a week to keep the environment healthy-ish for them. I think now we are going to wait for these four to meet their demise and then buy a heater for tropical fish. We like the fish tank, just not the pollution of the goldfish. However, it is a good lesson in population control and environmental waste. The girls said we could give two fish away; Anyone want a goldfish or two?
