While We Waited & Waited

5 Shows in 4 Days, with a grand total of 20 minutes of stage time for each 3 hour show = a lot of waiting around!

Luckily Lauren is both patient and resourceful. She brought her dolls, both Barbara and Laura (Our crazy homemade rag doll) and paper and crayons to entertain herself. Belle paper dolls with a change of outfits soon transpired. One parent commented on Laura ... I think it was a pity comment, but she said it would be perfect for 4H. (She was a 4H parent, and her son was late Sat. morning because, of all the reasons, he had to get his pig weighed! I LOVE IT!)

She then found some books to read, while other's watched movies and played hand-held video games. One parent was amazed that my 2nd grader - the youngest in the play - was happily reading a high school book. However, it was a "Dear America" series book, and she devours those in a day or two. She quickly finished it and moved on to something else.

Then she watched other's play games and watched a movie or two.

Finally, she decided it was fun to hang out with the high school kids rather than the "little kids" who were all older than she was, but not as mature as the high school kids. I heard a comment of two from the HS kids that Salt was their favorite spice. AWWWW *grin!*
