OK, so this is a bad pun on the Slow Food movement. Yes, we do enjoy our wholesome, home cooked foods, but our poor garden this year has been so very slow to grow and produce! These photos were all snapped August 28th - so a full three months of growth. Believe it or not!
A full summer - of beautiful but cool days - has produced such little growth in the garden. Bean Tepee, not so full.
Tomatoes, not so green. 
Beets, chard, carrots - well they all make great bunny and deer food. grumph! Which makes it really hard for us humans to harvest anything! The only great crop this year has been the lettuce. In fact, we are STILL eating home grown lettuce this year.
No canning this year! In fact, not much eating from the garden either. Oh well. We tried!
