Some of the photos do not show the animal very well; a 4-year-old just does not really have the idea of proper photo placement and lighting basics yet. (Not that her 42yr old mother does either ....) But, if you know where the animal was, you *can* actually see it.
As the day progressed she reached the point where she just wanted to take a photo of every cage, regardless of where the animal was!

Lamas were funny to her. I guess they must have spit or something.
I think the tortoises are SOOO cute!
Some Chinese bird that Annika thought was pretty. It really was, but unfortunately the chain link fence is in the way.
After a minor incident, where we got separated from her friends, she lost some desire to photograph the animals. Until we came to the lion and tiger cages. Unfortunately we did not see the lion at all, but we did manage to see three tigers, and even talk to the zookeeper about them! How exciting to know they are all three litter mates, about 2.5 yrs old (we saw them as cubs with Grandma two years ago!!) and know their names ... which I promptly forgot, sorry.

Two sister tigers were inside, snuggled up together taking a nap. Annika loved the fact that they were snuggled up together.
Later we had fun with the petting zoo with the goats. Something about goats and kids that just holds their interest. These goats liked to try to eat Annika's shirt. Yea, they are goats alright!
Annika was mildly upset that we never found her friend again that day, but all in all it was a fun trip to the zoo.
Oh, and there was one bronze animal to climb up on and play. What more can a girl ask for?
