An Awesome Read

Tonight Lauren and I started reading the book, The History of Counting. What a fascinating book this is. It is a non-fiction book, but rich with detailed drawings (that add quite a bit to the understanding of the text) and therefore it reads like a picture book. Which is nice, because the text is quite in depth, yet still simple enough for her to understand with only a few clarifications and paraphrasing. We have not finished it yet, and that might take a few sessions simply because there is so much information to absorb, but so far she is really fascinated by this history type book. I am impressed that our local library carries it, and somehow I stumbled upon it!
