The girls are fans of Veggie Tales, and for Annika's birthday this year we got her a musical CD from The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything movie. One of the songs is a spoof of The B52's Rock Lobster, titled Rock Monster. Well, Annika loves the silliness of this song, among the others on the CD, and wanted to share this with Grandma one night when she was here. (We had so much FUN Grandma!)
Grandma, being the overgrown kid she is (hmmmm, THAT is where Bill gets it from!) had to join the girls in dancing to Rock Monster. Oh what a wonderful sight this was! I absolutely love these spontaneous moments that bring utter joy to the girls faces. And, yes, to the adults too! You just cannot make this kind of moment happen, it has to occur on its own.
