Our inspiration for the weekly unplugged challenge was COLOR.The girls had lots of ideas, but due to a very hectic week (thus the reason why our post is over a weeks late) I decided to take control this week. Wed afternoon all four kids (my two plus Ikey ad Antonio) spray painted the snow.
We had fun mixing the colors, Annika was truly surprised and excited to discover that she could create different colors when you layer the colors on top of each other.
She also loved playing with the strength of the spray bottle; she would adjust the nozzle and make streams, which created a more intense burst of color.
Isaac had difficulties with his toddler mittens, but we minor help he could squeeze the trigger. He was just excited to watch the stuff spray out of the bottle.
Lauren was trying to make a masterpiece. She wanted a large, untouched swath of snow, and kept getting angry when someone would walk near her and "ruin" the snow. I kinda understand; there is just something about snow that has not been walked on yet. I hate seeing tracks in fresh snow!!
But then she made a snow angel and proceeded to spray the entire angel. She ended up with a few colors on it, but I did not get a picture of the final product.
Antonio and Annika had fun writing with the squirts, rather than spraying a mist onto the snow.
Which was cool, because the kinda made a smiley face on one of the snow covered shrubs!
